This morning IDF soldiers identified three armed terrorists on the road to Mount Eval in the Shomron, opened fire, and killed two of them, one of whom was a woman. The third terrorist was apprehended following a short pursuit. There were no injuries to Israeli troops. In other incidents today, an armored vehicle was targeted in a bomb attack near Nisanit in Gaza, and IDF soldiers in Jenin came under PLO gunfire. There were no injuries in either attack.



Last night also saw increased terrorist activity throughout Israel... Vehicles traveling on the Jerusalem-Maale Adumim road during the night were targeted in firebomb and stone-throwing attacks... A single shot fired from an Arab village in Samaria hit a car traveling near the community of Shilo... Gunfire was directed at road workers north of Alfei Menashe in the Shomron... A mortar was fired against the community of Dugit in Gaza... In all cases, no injuries were reported.



Also last night: in addition to the fatal ambush in the Hevron hills, IDF soldiers twice came under PLO gunfire in the city of Hevron... Soldiers in southern Gaza were targeted by grenades and gunfire... A terrorist placing a bomb north of Karni in Gaza was killed by IDF tank fire... Soldiers operating in the Arab village of Jaljilya, in the Binyamin district of the Shomron, were targeted by gunfire... IDF forces operating in PA-controlled Gaza during the night destroyed the home of Masour I'ad, a Hizbullah terrorist that was involved in attacks against IDF soldiers... A weapons smuggling tunnel was destroyed by IDF forces...
