A major shooting attack was thwarted this afternoon in northern Gaza when an armed terrorist disguised as a woman was apprehended by Israeli forces. He was stopped near the community of Elei Sinai, carrying a Kalachnikov rifle and grenades. He led the forces to a small arms cache of several more rifles and grenades... Terrorists opened fire, harmlessly, at soldiers manning the outpost where two soldiers were killed in a similar attack a month ago...

In other counter-terrorist activity, Israeli forces arrested 11 wanted terrorists last night, in Shechem, Kalkilye, and elsewhere.

The Israeli authorities released a 13-year-old Arab terrorist today. He was arrested two weeks ago after he infiltrated Netzarim armed with a knife in order to attack Jews. The boy, whose leg was broken, received medical treatment at Soroka Hospital Be'er Sheva, and was transferred to a Palestinian Authority hospital. His older brother, who also participated in the attempted attack, remains in detention. One of the boys was totally drugged at the time of the attack, according to then-Gaza Division Commander Gen. Yisrael Ziv. Ziv condemned the Palestinians' "cynical use of children to kill and be killed."
