The Pi Gelilot fuel depot will officially close today, in compliance with a government order, but will continue to supply fuel for the next ten days, until the tanks are empty. Only gas will remain at the installation, for the coming 12-18 months. The gas companies will continue to own the prime real estate, near Herzliya, on which is slated to be built hundreds of housing units. The installation was closed in light of grave safety concerns, especially following the failed mega-terrorist attack there last May.
