No let-up in Palestinian terrorism has been registered, and it continued today even as some of the eight victims of yesterday\'s terrorist bus crash were being brought to burial. An Israeli was lightly wounded by Arab gunfire near the industrial area of Atarot, in northern Jerusalem, this afternoon. Shortly before that, Palestinian terrorists fired at the military checkpoint on Route 443 between Jerusalem and Modi\'in; no one was hurt. The soldiers could not discern the source of the shots, and did not return fire.
A mortar shell - the third in 16 days - was fired onto the town of Netzarim late this afternoon. The shell landed near the town\'s greenhouses, and a fire broke out. The residents are currently in their security-rooms.
Palestinians opened fire on a group of worshippers in the old Jewish cemetery in Hevron late this afternoon. No one was hurt, and Israeli soldiers returned fire.
This morning, Palestinian terrorists detonated two bombs near a Har Hevron Regional Council bus, between Otniel and Beit Haggai. Kol Rina News Agency reports that the bombs went off seconds after the bus passed the spot. A Kiryat Arba resident was shot in the leg last night further south, near Hevron, and is listed in moderate condition. He suffered the loss of an eye in an Arab stoning attack several years ago.
Early this morning, the IDF thwarted another attack, this time in Gaza. Soldiers noticed an armed terrorist attempting to infiltrate into the greenhouses of Kfar Darom, and shot and killed him. The IDF spokesman announced that the soldiers\' quick action prevented an attack on soldiers and civilians. The terrorist was a uniformed PA police officer, under the auspices of Muhammad Dahlan; on his body were found a Kalachnikov rifle, many bullets, and a Koran.
