The Movement for Quality in Government is petitioning the Supreme Court today against the intention of Foreign Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to make several new senior-level appointments in the Foreign Ministry. The petitioners say that high-level appointments of this nature should not be made only a week before national elections. Foreign Ministry sources say in response that all the new appointments since Netanyahu took office have been professional and not political, and that the Ministry's workers union has agreed to the upcoming appointments.
