Former U.S. President Bill Clinton said last night that Ariel Sharon\'s visit to the Temple Mount was that which provoked the current Palestinian violence. Sharon\'s office responded calmly with a statement to the effect that even PA spokesmen have said that the violence was planned beforehand, that Sharon\'s visit was merely an excuse for the violence to begin, and that American officials have cleared Sharon of the blame for the violence.
