We are thrilled to provide you with the latest update on Racheli's condition and treatment. Thanks to the donors' unwavering support, Racheli has finally reached the point where her body is ready for the crucial surgery.

Extensive and costly treatments were required to prepare her delicate body, causing some delays in the process. However, we are excited to share that Racheli has embarked on her journey to the Boston medical facility.

While this is a positive development, the road ahead remains challenging. Following the upcoming surgery in a few days, the family will need to stay near the hospital in Boston for an extended period of several months. This extended stay is vital for monitoring Racheli's progress and ensuring the success of the transplantation. The family still requires financial assistance to cover the expenses during this critical phase.

From Racheli's mother:

Racheli was born over 10 years ago with a rare and complex kidney problem. Her left kidney doesn't function at all, while her right kidney is partially functional at around 60%. This condition leads to recurrent severe infections in her digestive system, causing her immense pain and suffering.

Racheli weighs only 19 kg (about 40 pounds) and experiences anxiety and eating disorders that prevent her from living a normal life for a child her age.

Racheli urgently needs a kidney transplant and life-saving surgery. She has undergone numerous treatments at Schneider Children's Hospital in Petah Tikva to prepare her frail body for the transplant. Our family has done everything possible to provide Racheli with the best medical care and treatments, incurring significant expenses that are not covered by the government-subsidized health plan. We have accumulated substantial debts, amounting to about $100,000 per year.

The complex surgery that could save Racheli's life costs more than $600,000. Unfortunately, our family does not have the financial means to cover this expense, and due to our previous debts, we are unable to secure loans.

Racheli's mother, with a broken heart, appeals to you in pain: "What choice do I have? To see my dear daughter perish or swallow my pride and beg for help! My little girl, whose life depends on this operation, is pleading with you! She wants to live! She wants to be healthy! We have no choice but to reach out to you for assistance. Please help us save Racheli's life!"

It is heart-wrenching to witness the suffering of a young child and the tears of her mother. We are committed to making every possible effort to save Racheli's life. With Hashem's help, we can ensure she lives a normal and happy childhood.
