Rocket remnants were discovered by security personnel in the town of Ram On, located in northern Israel south of the Jezreel Valley, on Sunday.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported that, after the findings were examined by security forces experts, it was determined that it was an old rocket. No explosive material was found in the rocket remnants.
The defense establishment estimates that the remnants are of a rocket that was launched before the operation conducted by the IDF in Jenin last week.
Military officials estimated that the firing of the two rockets that were launched about two weeks ago from the Jenin area towards Israeli territory was documented on TikTok.
An IDF investigation found that one rocket fell five meters from the launch site, and the other about 80 meters from it.
The IDF stressed that the rocket did not pose a danger to communities in the area. This was the first time a rocket had been launched from the Jenin area since the Second Intifada about two decades ago.
