As a reminder of the past - and present - Arutz-7 provides the following translation of words spoken by the late Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin in July 1995. They can be heard in the original Hebrew, on the backdrop of dramatically "appropriate" photos, at :

"The nightmares and scare-stories which the Likud party spread are known. After all, they also promised that katyusha rockets would be fired from Gaza. For a year, Gaza, for the most part, has been under Palestinian Authority control, and there hasn't been a single katyusha rocket, and there won't be any katyushas. And so on, and so on, and so on. All of their talk - the Likud is frightened to death of Peace. [They are the] "scaredy-cats" of peace. That's the Likud party today. It's no longer the Likud of Menachem Begin, of blessed memory, who dared - who took initiatives, and was willing to pay a painful price, in order to obtain peace [a reference to Begin's surrender of the Sinai desert to Egypt in 1982]. The Likud of today is frightened to death of peace, and therefore it reacts in such a childish manner."
