The citizen who neutralized the terrorist who carried out the attack in Tel Aviv recounts the moments of horror he experienced when he stood in front of the terrorist.
"I hear a boom behind me, I thought an accident and then he came out of the car and started stabbing people. I thought it was a fight between drivers and then he stabbed someone else," the citizen told Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai.
He added, "I told myself that I wanted to shoot first. The terrorist ran after me, I shot him and then he fell. My legs were shaking. I prayed that the bullet would come out of my gun, because if not I would die."
The Commissioner replied that he praises the citizen for his resourcefulness and for "managing to prevent the continuation of the murder spree".
