National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir praised the armed civilian who shot and neutralized the terrorist who committed a ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv Tuesday afternoon, saying that the attack demonstrated the need for civilians to be armed.
"Together with the entire people of Israel, I send wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured and a warm embrace to the families," said Ben-Gvir.
He added, "I congratulate the brave citizen who neutralized the terrorist, prevented the continuation of the incident and saved lives. This neutralization once again proved the importance and effectiveness of citizens carrying weapons and I call on the public who meet the requirements to carry firearms with you."
"Our war in Jenin is our war in Tel Aviv," stated Ben-Gvir. "We are faced with a bloodthirsty enemy, who does not distinguish between right-wing and left-wing, between religious and secular, adult and child, man or woman. Every Jew is a target for those murderers and we will fight vigorously against those murderers."
