Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant recently completed an operational situational assessment of the ongoing military operation in Jenin together with the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Director of the Shin Bet (ISA), and additional senior defense officials.
Minister Gallant was briefed on the ongoing counterterrorism operations, including the pursuit of terrorists, demolition of terror infrastructure, and the additional operational achievements.
Minister Gallant emphasized the need to ensure freedom of operation for troops on the ground by eliminating terror infrastructure including "war rooms" and terrorist hideouts, as well as confiscating weapons and explosive devices.
Minister Gallant expressed his appreciation to the Chief of the General Staff and Director of the ISA, and commended the troops for their determination and performance on the ground. He expressed his full support for the troops' activities, which aim to restore stability in the area.
