Four people were killed and several others were injured on Monday night in a mass shooting in southwest Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

A person is in custody and a weapon has been recovered, police spokesperson Miguel Torres told CNN.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been made public.

Six victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and two were taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, police spokesperson Jasmine Reilly told CNN.

Torres told NBC News the conditions for any survivors were not available.

NBC Philadelphia reported that a child was among those struck by gunfire.
