The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit updated on Friday that IDF soldiers on Thursday spotted a number of suspects attempting to smuggle drugs from Egypt into Israeli territory.
IDF soldiers were dispatched to the scene and confiscated 38 kg of drugs worth approximately 1,500,000 shekels.
The soldiers pursued the suspects for hours and apprehended an individual suspected of carrying out the smuggling.
The confiscated drugs and the suspect were transferred to the Israel Police for further processing.
