זירת התאונה בבקעת הירדןהצלה ללא גבולות

A 45-year-old Israeli was killed and nine others suffered serious and moderate injuries on Wednesday evening in an accident involving four vehicles on Highway 90, near the Palestinian Arab town of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley.

Most of the injured in the accident are Palestinian Arabs, with the exception of a 13-year-old girl. Two of the injured are in serious condition, three others are in moderate condition and the rest are in light condition.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medics and paramedics, in cooperation with an IDF medical force, treated the injured at the scene before they were transported to the hospital. Two people who were trapped in the cars which collided had to be rescued from the wrecks.

One medic said: "Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, we identified two private vehicles at a distance from each other. It was a serious and challenging scene in which one of the vehicles was upside down and two people were trapped inside, and beyond that there were other injured people, including children. We immediately began operations to rescue the trapped people using special tools. At the end of the rescue, the trapped people were transferred to the medical authorities."
