Menachem Ordman, the 33-year-old Jewish man and a father of five from the Samaria town of Mevo Dotan who was moderately in a terrorist shooting attack near his home town yesterday afternoon recalled his brush with death Wednesday, during an interview with Galei Tzahal.

Ordman and three soldiers were shot in the attack Tuesday, between the Israeli communities of Hermesh and Mevo Dotan, near the Arab village of Ya’abad. Ordman was shot while speaking on the phone and standing next to his car at the Efes Junction, while the soldiers were wounded while sitting inside of an army vehicle.

In the interview Wednesday, Ordman said was sitting in his car when the terrorists' vehicle approached him.

"They opened heavy fire, it took me a moment to realize that I was still alive. I saw a rifle barrel aimed at me from point-blank range."

"I was standing at the junction to talk on the phone, and then a car from the opposite lane passed by, from which they fired at me."

"I noticed that I had been wounded, there was blood all over the car. I was sure that I was going to die."

Ordman said that after surgery to remove shrapnel from his arms, he is expected to be discharged from the hospital Thursday.

"My arms were wounded by bullets, and I will undergo surgery today to remove the shrapnel, and God-willing, I will be released tomorrow.”

Ordman repeated his call for the government to launch a major counter-terror operation in Judea and Samaria.

"I have already seen death in front of my eyes - they shot at me from point-blank range while I was inside the car. We need to go on the offensive and finish this saga."

After the attack, Ordman was listed in moderate condition, and he was evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera. "They stayed very close to my car and started shooting at close range with an M16.”

"After one of them fired, he shouted [in Arabic] to his friend, 'Enough, enough, let's go.' I took out my gun and fired towards the escaping vehicle. They continued driving and shot at other cars."

Ordman noted that his watch had been damaged by shrapnel or a bullet, and stopped at the exact time of the attack. Yesterday, Oradman was supposed to sign a contract to become the security coordinator for Mevo Dotan.
