Minister for the Development of the Periphery, the Negev and the Galilee, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, on Sunday met President Isaac Herzog and his office staff at the President's Residence in Jerusalem.

At the meeting, the Minister and the President discussed projects that create change and growth in the Negev and the Galilee, promoting employment and creating more jobs. President Herzog, for his part, stressed that it is necessary to support the Arab public in the Negev and the Galilee.

Minister Wasserlauf told the President that the professional team of his ministry is already in the final stages of a variety of strategic plans to boost the Negev and the Galilee and to create significant jobs that will change the map and reduce the gaps between the Negev and the Galilee and central Israel.

Minister Wasserlauf and President Herzog agreed on continued cooperation to advance the plans and to work together to reduce the gaps and on the projects that bring about change and growth in the Negev and the Galilee.

Wasserlauf said after the meeting, "I was happy to meet with the President and I felt that President Herzog is attentive to the needs of the residents of the Negev and the Galilee and is willing to help and cooperate to advance the plans that are on the agenda."
