As Jerusalem Day approaches, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation is preparing for the arrival of tens of thousands of visitors to the Western Wall Plaza who are expected to participate in a festive prayer service and celebration marking 56 years since the reunification of the city. The event will begin on Thursday, after the traditional Flag March, on the eve of the 28th of Iyar, 5783 on the Hebrew calendar, starting at 7:00 PM on May 18, 2023.

In addition, on the morning of Jerusalem Day (Thursday, May 18, 2023), starting at 11:00 AM, a special broadcast will take place for elementary schools throughout the country in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, including an online quiz with the participation of tens of thousands of students, a virtual tour of the Western Wall Tunnels, and accessible content for children about the city of Jerusalem and the Western Wall.

The following day, a festive Shacharit morning prayer service will be held on the morning of Jerusalem Day, in cooperation with the Office for Jerusalem and Heritage, starting at 7:00 AM on Friday, the 28th of Iyar, May 19, 2023.
