National Unity Party chairman Benny Gantz on Sunday evening attended a party conference in Kfar Saba, attended by hundreds of party activists and supporters from the Sharon region and surrounding area.
Gantz attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said, "If you care about the country, about the Iranian threat, then you go to the US, and you go to deal with this threat. If you care about crime in the country, you don't sit quietly when every day at least one Israeli, Jew or Arab, is murdered here. But Netanyahu decided that the most important thing to discuss is a regime coup that will tear us apart."
"In this government, they don't look after the country, they only look after the government. In Levin's legislation there was not a single section that dealt with the needs of the citizens, everything dealt with the needs of the politicians," he charged.
Gantz also commented on the negotiations meant to reach a compromise on the judicial reform and said, "We have maintained the principles with which we entered into negotiations all along. I am satisfied by the fact that there are negotiations, but we demand that there be progress. We will make every effort to reach broad agreements that will preserve democracy."
