Germany’s Ambassador to Israel, Steffen Seibert, shared a video of prominent figures in German society congratulating Israel on the occasion of its 75th Independence Day.
Among those in the video is German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who said, “When David Ben-Gurion proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel 75 years ago, the Jewish people finally gained a homeland, finally gained their own state."
“We Germans are full of admiration as we look to Israel’s development and flourishing over the decades,” he added.
