Two terrorist attacks were thwarted in the Bethlehem area yesterday. Among three Islamic Jihad terrorists arrested in the vicinity last night was one who was planning to dispatch a suicide terrorist in the coming days. In addition, a ten-kilogram ready-to-explode explosives vest was found and safely blown up... No one was hurt in Arab attacks last night on IDF forces near N'vei Dekalim and Rafiach... The IDF has shut down the District Coordinating Office (DCO) between IDF and PA forces in Tul Karem. The soldiers confiscated the Arab weapons and expelled the PA policemen. Only in Jericho and Shechem are the DCOs still functioning.
In Kalkilye last night, IDF forces apprehended the Palestinian terrorist who planned the attack on the Karnei Shomron pizzeria last year in which three teenagers - Nechemiah Amar, Keren Shatzky, and Rachel Thaler - were murdered. He was also responsible for placing bombs in the town of Kokhav Ya'ir, and was in the midst of planning further attacks. The terrorist broke his leg while jumping from a window in a vain attempt to evade capture, and is now hospitalized.
