Labor Party prime ministerial candidate and opposition leader Amram Mitzna met in London with British Prime Minister Tony Blair today, at the latter's invitation. The visit took place on the backdrop of tense British-Israeli relations. Blair has lately refused to meet with Foreign Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, graciously hosted Syrian dictator Assad, and demanded that Israel rescind its ban on a PLO delegation from traveling to London for a conference. England is also refusing to sell Israel critical spare parts for its Phantom jets.
