May Leah's memory be for a blessing, as too the memories of Maia and Rina."
MK Ohad Tal (Religious Zionism), who is a resident of Efrat where the Dee family lives, commented: "During the march to Evyatar the terrible news came from the hospital. Leah (Lucy) was our neighbor, an inspiration to all of Efrat. I now vow that I will do everything I can to ensure that the Dee family will be the last victims. We will remember you - we will never forget."
Deputy Finance Minister Michal Waldiger (Religious Zionism) commented: "It is heartbreaking to hear of the news of Leah Dee's passing, may G-d avenge her," Waldiger said, invoking the traditional saying when any Jew is killed simply because he is a Jew.

"The heart is broken. After days of struggle, Leah Dee, mother of Rina and Maia who were buried just yesterday, passed away in the hospital. With the enormous pain the family made a heroic decision to give life and donate their organs. The Dee family is the essence of Zionism and the war for the Land of Israel which unfortunately cost their lives. The nation of Israel strengthens you in these difficult moments. May the memory of Leah, Rina and Maia be blessed."
National Unity leader Benny Gantz commented:
"Together with the entire people of Israel, I wish to express my deep sorrow for the death of Leah Dee, the mother of the late Maia and Rina, who were murdered in the heinous attack in the Jordan Valley, and to send my sincere condolences to the family in their difficult and painful time. I trust the security forces that are still active now, that they will lay hands on the murderers and their senders and bring them to account."

"These murderous and despicable attacks by our enemies are directed against us as Jews and as Israelis. Together we will stand against terrorism and defeat it, as always. I trust the security forces to lay hands on the murderers. The father of the family, Rabbi Leo Dee cried out, in his car most difficult hour: 'Am Yisrael Chai - the people of Israel are alive.' This is the oath of our common destiny. We will always remember it," Sa'ar wrote.
Head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council and Chairman of the Yesha Council Shlomo Ne'eman, commented: "After a courageous fight for her life, Lucy (Leah) Dee has joined her holy daughters Maia and Rina HY’D. May the three of you pray for us from the heavens, for your community in Efrat, for Gush Etzion, and for the entire people of Israel."
"We demand that the government restore security and punish the perpetrators of this murderous and barbaric attack and fight terrorism with all of the means at its disposal. To the Dee family: there are no words to comfort you following the difficult funeral yesterday, and now you are faced with another tragedy in your home. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.”
