Yusuf Abu Jabar is the terrorist who murdered Alessandro Parini and injured seven others in a ramming attack in Tel Aviv on Friday.
The 45-year-old terrorist was an Israeli Arab resident of Kfar Qassem with no prior security record and worked as a janitor at a middle school in Kiryat Ono in central Israel.
Students at the school could not believe their "smiley janitor" had become a murderous terrorist. In a video taken by students at an unknown date, Yusuf can cheerfully interact with the students, high-fiving one while carrying out his cleaning duties.
The investigation into the incident found that Abu Jabar traveled southbound near the Charles Clore promenade, mounted the sidewalk, and hit tourists at the scene. After this, he continued to drive down the bicycle lane and lost control of the vehicle. After he flipped over with the vehicle, he was neutralized by a police officer who witnessed the attack and rushed to the scene. Tel Aviv municipal inspectors also assisted in the neutralization.
The Mayor of Kfar Qassem, Attorney A'adel Bedir, condemned the attack: "We strongly condemn the severe ramming attack which took place tonight, we send our condolences to the victim's family and wish a full recovery to those who were injured. We denounce any harm to innocent civilians and call for tolerance.
