In Seder Night, the Mishnah tells us we have to learn 4 Psukim from Sefer Devarim that talk about Yetziat Mitzraym.
The Haggadah brings those Psukim, and then uses other Psukim to explain each one of those 4 Psukim.
The 2nd Pasuk from Devarim talks about the torture the Egyptians put us through - but to explain "The Bad" they did, the HaHaggadah starts not by bringing any Pasuk that talks about actual torture - but rather it brings the Pasuk where Pharaoh says “Let’s outsmart them!”
Is this the most terrible thing the Egyptians did?
Why does the HaHagaddah bring this Pasuk to explain the "torture" we went through?
And on top of that - by understanding what exactly goes on in the beginning of Sefer Shemot - where the Torah says that "A new king arose in Mitzrayim..." and he enslaved Am Yisrael - there's an incredible lesson the Haggadah teaches us about our history in this small part!
