A series of military incidents in Yesha took place last night and today, with no casualties to our forces:

* Near Jenin: Terrorists opened fire at Electric Company workers accompanied by IDF soldiers; no one was hurt.

* N'vei Dekalim: A terrorist apparently on his way to infiltrate the town was shot and killed. Arabs launched several mortar shells at Gush Katif communities.

* Tzaideh, northern Shomron: An armed terrorist was shot and killed when he started shooting at soldiers who came to demolish a terrorist's home. Another terrorist escaped; the building, belonging to a terrorist involved in the Kibbutz Metzer and other attacks, was razed.

* Kalil, northern Shomron: A Tanzim terrorist was apprehended.

* Al Khader, south of Jerusalem: Four firebomb-hurlers were arrested.

* Ramallah and elsewhere: 18 other terrorists were apprehended.

Two Syrian gunmen shot at an IDF foot patrol this afternoon. The soldiers returned fire, killed one of the attackers, and wounded and apprehended the other. The incident took place near the Israeli-Syrian-Jordanian border, in the southern Golan area.

In other terrorist news, the Jerusalem District Court sentenced an Israeli-Arab youth to life imprisonment this afternoon for murdering an Israeli woman and for taking part in additional terrorist attacks. He and several other youths murdered Moran Amit, a Haifa University law student, as she was walking in the Peace Forest south of the Old City last February. The other youths of the terrorist cell - which perpetrated other stabbings and attacks in the Jerusalem area - were sentenced to long prison sentences.
