Although no rain has fallen for the last few days, nor is any expected for the coming few, the Kinneret Sea - Israel's largest reservoir - continues to rise. It broke a symbolic milestone yesterday, rising above 214 meters below sea level for the first time since the end of August. It currently stands at 213.98 meters below sea level, missing only 98 centimeters - 167 million cubic meters of water - to reach the government-mandated red line. The Kinneret rose above -214 meters last year at the end of February.
