Approximately 80 Jewish students from overseas, in Israel on a Birthright tour, decided to donate blood yesterday, in the wake of the terrorist bombing in Tel Aviv. The group of Birthright youth gathered to donate blood when it was announced by Magen David Adom that donors were needed. A spokesperson for Birthright Israel said that the youth were satisfied with the quick response of MDA, and expressed hope that the blood donated will not be needed for victims of terrorism anymore.



Tomorrow, a solidarity mission from Miami, Florida, will arrive in the country, the Jewish Agency reported. The 45-person mission will meet with Agency Chairman Sallai Meridor and visit Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital during their stay.



In France, over 1,000 students demonstrated opposite a Paris university on Monday, voicing their opposition to the local initiative to break academic ties with Israel. A pro-Arab counter-demonstration drew about 100 persons. Today in France, a vehicle belonging to Rabbi Gabriel Farhi of France was set ablaze in another anti-Semitic attack. Rabbi Farhi was lightly wounded in a Friday afternoon attack at his synagogue, when he was stabbed in the abdomen. French President Jacques Chirac expressed his condemnation.
