Israeli security forces captured two terrorists Wednesday, on suspicion of carrying out the murder Monday of 26-year-old dual American-Israeli citizen Elan Ganeles.
In a joint operation of the IDF, Shin Bet internal security agency, and the Border Police, the two suspects were apprehended, following a siege on a building in the Aqabat Jabr camp just south of Jericho.
"A short while ago, in joint IDF, ISA, and Israel Border Police activity, the security forces operated in the Aqabat Jabr camp adjacent to the city of Jericho," an IDF spokesperson said Wednesday afternoon.
"Based off of ISA intelligence, the forces apprehended two terrorists suspected of carrying out the shooting attack (Monday) in which the late Elan Ganeles was murdered."
The spokesperson said one terrorist was shot during the operation.

According to a report by the Palestinian Authority's WAFA outlet, three Palestinian Arabs were injured by live fire and rubber bullets during the operation.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant (Likud) lauded security personnel over the capture of the two wanted terrorists.
"I commend the IDF, ISA and Border Police forces for apprehending the two terrorists who murdered Elan Ganeles of blessed memory, during the attack conducted on route 90. Every terrorist should be aware of Israel's defense establishment - we will get our hands on them."
