“This is a day of celebration for Zionism,” Binyamin Regional Council Governor Israel Ganz told Binyamin Regional Council residents Monday, following the government's decision earlier this week to recognize outpost communities across Judea and Samaria.
On Sunday night, the Israeli government decided to recognize nine hitherto unregulated hilltop outpost communities of across Judea and Samaria.
Three of the nine unrecognized outposts slated for full normalization are located in the Binyamin district, including Givat Harel and Givat HaRoeh, along with the Malachei HaShalom Farm, which will be developed into a new village.
Givat Harel was established 25 years ago and Givat HaRoeh, 20 years ago. These communities were founded with the government’s approval, but has so far not been officially recognized.
Binyamin Regional Council Governor Israel Ganz excitedly notified the local residents that “after long years of anticipation and considerable preparation work, the Israeli government has approved this process. The newly recognized villages will go through all aspects of the legal regulation process. Malachei HaShalom will grow from an agricultural farm into a flourishing village!”
Governor Ganz told his constituents that there will be additional good news on this subject, and “we are working with the government on the continuation of the regulation process for additional locales.
“This is a genuine day of celebration! I am grateful to the pioneering families who lived in these communities for years, and even today in difficult conditions. Today the Israeli government recognizes you! Now we will work together with government officials to speed up the regulation process. I hope we will hear more such news for the pioneering families! And for the strengthening of communities throughout Israel!” said Governor Ganz.
