A fledgling PA weapons industry centered in Gaza has developed a new and fairly effective surface-to-surface missile, designed to be used against Israeli towns in Gaza and surrounding areas. The new missile, which can fire four rockets at once, was developed jointly by the Fatah and the Hamas.
The range of the new missile, unveiled in Khan Yunis on Friday at a "Fatah Day" celebration and at a Hamas rally last month, is not known, but it is apparently shorter than the Kassam-2, another missile produced locally by Arab terrorists in Gaza. The missile is reported to use less solid fuel, accounting for its shorter range. Pictures taken at the Hamas and Fatah rallies show the rockets to be about a meter long and 120 mm. wide.
