Former Israel Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh will be the keynote speaker at the demonstration of the Movement for the Quality of Government, which will be held this coming Saturday night at Habima Square in Tel Aviv.
According to the organizers, the demonstration will be held in protest against "the regime coup and the dangerous reforms planned by Netanyahu and his partners."
Senior public figures from a variety of fields will speak and participate in the demonstration - economics, academia, law, representatives of the LGBT community, Holocaust survivors, etc. At the end of the demonstration, the protestors will march and join the main demonstration on Kaplan Street.
The demonstration of the Movement for the Quality of Government will begin at 6:45 p.m. The demonstration on Kaplan Street is expected to begin at 7:00 p.m., after which there will be protest marches throughout the city.
The organizers of the Kaplan protest said: "This week the coalition continued to outline to the public what a dictatorial Israel will look like the day after the coup d'état - governmental corruption, religious coercion and harm to minorities, without any ability of any authority or gatekeeper to stop the dangerous government. This is the time for the Israeli public to come out and demonstrate on Kaplan Street and throughout the country. This is the most important fight that the citizens of the country have ever waged: For the independence of the people. And we will win."
