
Israel Police have detained two minors aged 15 and 17 who allegedly left a bag containing a stun grenade at the entrance to a school in Ramla in central Israel as a "gift for the principal."
The school's security guard reported that a minor approached the school gate and asked to speak to the principal. When he was refused entry, he left a "gift" for the principal from his friend: a bag that turned out to contain a stun grenade.
Police sappers were called in to ascertain that the grenade did not pose a danger to the public. The grenade was then sent to be inspected by a police forensics team.
Police opened an investigation that made use of various technological means and swiftly located and detained two minors, residents of Ramla, aged 15 and 17. At the conclusion of the investigation, a decision will be made regarding the continuation of their detention.
