Three teenagers were killed and two other people were injured on Thursday night in an accident involving two vehicles on Highway 9779, near Moshav Beit Hillel in the Galilee.

Magen David Adom medics and paramedics, with the assistance of an IDF medical force, pronounced two people dead on the scene after they were rescued from their vehicle by firefighters.

In addition, an unconscious man was airlifted from the scene by an Israel Air Force helicopter. He was listed in serious condition, and later succumbed to his injuries.

Two other young men in their 20s were moderately injured in the accident.

The injured were taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa and Ziv Hospital in Tzfat.

The three teens killed in the crash, all residents of Kibbutz Kfar Blum in the Upper Galilee, have been identified as Uri Malul, 17, Ariel Stern, 17, and Daniel Porat, 16.
