A rare 1969 Corvette Stingray ZL1 convertible is predicted to sell at auction for over $3 million in January.

The Monaco orange Chevrolet is one of only two that were ordered that year with the powerful ZL1 engine package, the other being a coupe, making the car one of a kind, according to Fox News.

The ZL1 performance option included a high horsepower L-88 427-cubic inch V8 engine that was originally built for the Can-Am Challenge Cup racing series.

The ZL1 package souped up the Corvette to well over 430 horsepower and included upgraded brakes, suspension and rear axle.

The option doubled the Corvette’s base cost of $4,781, and was rarely ordered.

The Stingray ZL-1 was restored to original specs by its current owner in 2014.

It is scheduled to be up for auction at RM Sotheby's Arizona auction on January 26. The automotive rarity is expected to fetch as much as $3 million, potentially making it the third priciest Corvette ever sold.
