Saying Kaddish

One of the most important mitzvahs after passing and during the year of mourning is saying Mourner’s Kaddish which is the duty of sons to observe 3 times a day throughout the year.

The Halakha states that if the son cannot say Kaddish every day, he should hire someone who commits to saying Kaddish throughout the entire year and in addition, to mentioning the deceased’s name every day before prayer – can be ordered here Kaddish Service

Mourning

Mourning from the moment of passing consists of several parts

The stage before burial, known as Aninut – during this time one should be focused only on the burial and nothing else, so much so that they are exempt of all the mitzvahs appearing in the Torah.

After the deceased has been buried, the shiva, shloshim and 12 months mourning periods begin.

Each stage has its relevant customs, generally these are limitations that apply to the grieving person's body.

Another part related to action taken to help the ascension of the deceased’s soul, such as visiting the grave, special prayers, studying the Torah and other subjects are clarified in detail in the website.
