The excuse this time is the anniversary of Israel\'s becoming an independent state 53 years ago - the day that Arabs have lately taken to calling \"Catastrophe Day.\" Dozens of Palestinians are rioting near at least three Jewish sites in Gaza at this hour: the Netzarim Junction, near Kfar Darom, and near the N\'vei Dekalim industrial zone. They are throwing rocks and firebombs at Israeli soldiers, who are shooting rubber bullets at their legs in return.
