A passenger bus came under terrorist gunfire this morning as it traveled

between Ofrah and Bal Hatzor, in the Shomron. The bus was hit by the flying

bullets, but there were no reports of injuries. Last night, another vehicle

was hit by terrorist gunfire east of Einav, also in the Shomron. There were

no injuries in that attack, as well.





An ongoing nationwide terrorism alert continued today, with intelligence

community officials warning of efforts by Arab terrorists to perpetrate

major attacks against Israeli targets. Terrorist warnings also plague

Israelis going abroad - the Israeli Scouts organization has announced today

that its members will not be attending the International Scouts Jamboree in

Thailand due to security considerations.





On the military side of the Oslo War, an IDF military vehicle was targeted

in a bomb attack in Shweika, in the Tulkarem district, this morning. At this

time, it is unknown if there are any injuries.... Yesterday, soldiers in

southern Gaza were targeted by gunfire and grenades. There were no injuries

in the incident.... Also yesterday, IDF forces were ordered back into

Bethlehem and a curfew was imposed on the city again, as efforts continue to

thwart terrorist attacks emanating from areas under PA jurisdiction. Eight

PA residents suspected of terrorist activities were arrested by IDF soldiers

over night and two more, one of whom was planning to carry out a suicide

bombing attack, were arrested this morning. Nine of the ten are members of

PLO leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah terrorist organization in Judea and

Samaria.
