IDF troops operating in nearby PA-controlled Dir el-Balah over the night arrested ten suspects, including three leading terrorists. A search of the homes of the three turned up mortar shells, telescopic surveillance equipment, and other weaponry; the buildings were demolished. At least two armed Arabs who fired at troops were killed by return fire; no injuries to IDF forces were reported.
