Tzvipic1Vaad HaRabbanim

If you would have told Chananel Tzvi ten years ago that he would become a serious learner in a top Yeshiva, he would have laughed in your face.

Chananel grew up in a secular Israeli home that was anti-Torah. His mother left when he was only a small child, and Chananel took to the streets for many years, involved in harmful activities.

But when he was 15, after one incredible incident, his life turned around completely. Click here to read his full story.

Chananel went with his friends to a water park, but after a long day, he was swept into a deep pool and began to drown. As he lost consciousness, Chananel dreamed that he was in the Bet Din Shel Maalah [Heavenly Courts]. The Rabbis urged him to change his ways and follow the laws of the Torah. During this time, Chananel was dead. In a miraculous turn, the boy regained consciousness. In that moment, he swore to himself that he would do Teshuva, and he spent the next ten years growing closer to G-d and becoming a fully observant Jew.

Today, Chananel is engaged and has the opportunity to achieve his dreams of raising religious children. The situation, however, is not a simple one.

Chananel’s father passed away recently from cancer. That means that the young man and his bride are completely on their own to make a wedding. They have both pooled together everything they have, and are far short from being able to afford the basics.

A hachnasat kallah fund has been started to help Chananel and his kallah to get married with dignity.

“Even though we are without any family support, my teshuva process has taught me that klal yisroel [the Jewish nation] is full of amazing people,” reads touching Chesed Fund text. “...and that you are our family too.”

Readers can show Chananel and his kallah that they are not alone by donating here to help.
