Prime Minister and chairman of the Yesh Atid Party, Yair Lapid, on Wednesday convened his faction for a meeting in preparation for the election campaign.

"These elections were forced upon us, but they could be an opportunity, which we may not see again, to get out of this complicated situation. To establish a broad and stable national government, without the extremists. Only one thing will allow this to happen: A big, strong Yesh Atid that will stabilize the Israeli ship. The choice that lies before the citizens of Israel is not between me and Netanyahu. The choice is between the future and the past. The choice is between those who think only of their personal good, and those who think of the good of the country," Lapid claimed.

"The governmental instability damages the economy and security. It's time to end this saga once and for all. The only way to do that is to win the elections, to establish a stable and broad government."

"Instead of engaging in hatred and incitement, these days we are preparing working plans. To address the cost of living that has been shamefully neglected for 15 years, to add a million people to the high-tech industry, to address the climate crisis, to dramatically expand our trade agreements throughout the world, to help the disadvantaged classes," he added.

Lapid said that "under our watch, there will not be a rich country with citizens who cannot make ends meet. There will be no corruption that causes an entire generation of young people to lose faith in the country. There will be a country where people treat each other with respect, because we are partners. It is time for Israeli society to stop fighting. There is only one way to deal with all our challenges - together. We are a family. In a family, even if you disagree with someone, you don't let the house fall apart. In Israeli democracy, everyone is a partner."
