Forces in large numbers were called to the Port of Ashdod on Tuesday evening following a report of a vessel that capsized, with several people on board.
Naval police crews, together with other Navy forces, located the vessel and worked to rescue the passengers who were aboard.
Five people were rescued from the water, including three adults and two children. Magen David Adom said its paramedics evacuated four of them to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, including a 42-year-old man, two teens and a younger boy. They are all listed in light condition.
