Police in Goshen, New York are searching for a man who harassed congregants of a synagogue attending a talk by a Holocaust survivor.
The man was speaking about the horrors of the Holocaust and calling for an end to hatred on Thursday night when the incident occurred.
According to police, a suspect in a red car twice drove by the Chabad of Orange County screaming obscenities.
"At an evening to commemorate and remember the Holocaust and how it should never happen again. Never again. And at the actual event, there are people just spewing hate," Rabbi Meir Borenstein told News12.
Rabbi Borenstein urged understanding to combat hate.
"Teach them about love, happiness, how we need to tolerate each other, how we need to find room in our hearts to share, to belong to each other," he said.
The incident was caught on security footage which police said they will release hoping a member of the public will be able to identify the suspect.
