The High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel said on Monday that US President Joe Biden's visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority did not bring with it any tidings for the Palestinian people and for Arabs, but on the contrary, "It posed a grave danger and it expresses an attempt to drag the peoples of the region into wars in the service of American and Zionist interests."
In a statement issued following a meeting of its secretariat, the committee noted that "the right of the Palestinian people regarding independence, the return and Jerusalem was absent from Biden's agenda and the US President's remarks on a two-state solution were misleading."
On the upcoming elections, the Follow-Up Committee claimed that "the confrontation is against the right-wing parties which are united in denial of the rights of the Palestinian people and in support of the continued occupation and control of all historic Palestine in the spirit of the fascist Nationality Law."
"The Follow-Up Committee also called for an objective assessment of the participation in the coalition of Ra'am, which failed miserably in all areas, based on the commitment to the basic principles and the Follow-Up Committee's position as presented at the formation of the so-called 'government of change.'"
