Daniel Cohen, Newsmax correspondent, spoke with Israel National News - Arutz Sheva ahead of US President Joe BIden's arrival in Israel.
According to Cohen, this is the second time he is covering an Air Force One landing: The first time was when former US President George W. Bush visited a Marine air base in San Diego.
"When Air Force One touches down, it's moving, it's majestic," Cohen said. "I'm excited to be here and witness it again first-hand."
When asked whether Biden would pressure Israel for more concessions and "gestures" towards the Palestinian Authority, Cohen said, "I'm not a political correspondent, I'm a news correspondent, but I am an observer of what's going on."
"I do know that just reading the tea leaves and reading the polls, that President Biden comes here to Israel politically weak, he's got a very weak hand. And I don't know what kind of capital he has to pressure Israel - or to pressure Saudi Arabia, in fact."
"President Biden has to go to Saudi Arabia, sort of, we're hearing observers say, 'hat in hand,' to say, 'We need you to produce more oil.'"
Cohen added, "He says he's here to strengthen the Israeli-Saudi Arabian ties, and if he's able to do that, I think that's a win. I don't know what that means, but that's a win."
"If Saudi Arabia would say publicly they're going to sign onto the Abraham Accords on this visit - that's a huge win," he emphasized. "That is the mother of all Middle East peace deals. That would be huge. They signal that that's not going to happen, that it would be a long process, but if there are other nations in the Middle East that want to make peace with Israel....that's only a good thing for this region and for the United States."
