The IDF removed the curfew from the PA-controlled city of Shechem today - and promptly had several of its nearby outposts attacked by Arab gunfire. Israeli cars nearby were also stoned and firebombed. IDF forces returned fire, and no Israeli casualties were reported.



Three terrorists, including at least two Hamas members, were killed in clashes with IDF forces last night. The Hamas men were killed while trying to place a bomb near the border fence in northern Gaza. On their persons were found additional weapons. Shortly before that, IDF soldiers shot and killed an Arab who tried to approach their outpost near N'vei Dekalim; two other Arabs escaped unharmed.



It was announced today that several Arabs from both Israel and the Palestinian Authority were captured three months ago while filming the Sdeh Dov airport and Air Force base in northern Tel Aviv. The suspects, who were employed at a nearby construction site and had rented a nearby apartment, were filming the civilian and military airplanes in motion and as they parked on the tarmac at the airport. It was announced yesterday that another cell of terrorists had been arrested last month after having planned to shoot down a helicopter landing at the Knesset, among other terrorist attacks.
