It’s a Tuesday morning, and Mrs. Kaminetsky is doing the best to get through her day teaching. As the bell rings and the kids begin to head out to recess, however, she bursts into tears. She is hiding a home life far beyond what her parents and her students know of her.
The Kaminetsky family has been in debt since their son Bentzi was diagnosed with leukemia. They’ve lost everything they had and they’re about to lose more: They are being evicted, to live out on the streets with 7 children. A child with cancer is about to be homeless.
“Are you okay, Mrs. Kaminetsky?”
The young woman smiles tenderly and nods her head. But will she be?
