You must vote in NY by Election Day on November 5th

After my last column was published about the growing hate crimes and anti-Semitism in America, I received the most follow up mail from you, my supporters, ever.  From around the world, especially from Europe, Jews expressed their desire to have their own countries’s leaders support Israel like Donald Trump.

Many from the United States, especially from New York and the tri-State area, were upset and angry.  They were mostly frustrated. I pointed out something few of us really don’t want to acknowledge.

“How can we expect to end the cycle of rising Jewish hate in America when our own leadership can’t do the job of bringing us together regardless of religious affiliations and ages?”

My friends, here is a simple answer TO START  the process of speaking out AND demanding change.

On Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m., registered voters started casting their ballots in advance of Election Day on Tuesday, November 5th. The early voting period spans from October 26 through November 3.

I am urging you to vote, but suggesting you give your vote to Republican and conservative candidates.  Even if you are a registered Democrat.

This year is just as important as 2020.  This year marks the last year you will definitely know what district you vote in, as next year the redistribution of seats might change your leadership and possibly eliminate some elected officials speaking on your behalf.  Eric Holder is leading the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and endorsing candidates at every level, many with progressive agendas.

Every county has local elections.  Think it doesn’t make a difference?  Think again.

Several of you, readers of this column regularly, have asked for help to stop libraries from hosting guests who have spoken out against Israel, or purchase and share books against Jews and Israel.

Several of you have written to me about library situations in Brooklyn.  You ask me to do something— what have you done? Go rally your friends and go to local candidates and speak up, even help their campaigns these last weeks.

I have written extensively about CAIR events in a Queens library.

Many of you are being asked to vote for judges.  Have judges currently overseeing courts publicly and lawfully punished those who attack Jews?  I have yet to see one judge in Brooklyn stand out and make ONE example of a person who has attacked a Jew.  Vote them out!!

Check if any of your local, state or national candidates have accepted money and/or are endorsed by the American Federation Of Teachers or the state level Teachers Unions.  Why, you ask?

Former First Lady, Michelle Obama, wants teachers to get their students to vote with a new initiative that  features lesson plans and in-person trainings to establish a voter registration program called When We All Vote.  Randi Weingarten announced that the American Federation Of Teachers will partner with them.

Weingarten is a frequent, outspoken opponent of Donald Trump and Betsy DeVos.

This means that any candidates being supported by teachers unions are against school choice and private schools.  They support a current curriculum that can includes legitimizing Palestinians, BDS support, changing Jewish history, including a watering down truth about the Holocaust and the establishment of Israel and a misrepresentation of radical Islamic terrorism.

This means candidates have a voice in safety issues, staffing issues and budgets for things like yeshiva busing and special student services.

It also hits your wallets on taxes.  Are you paying too much for your local and state taxes?

Are you feeling safe in your kosher supermarkets, shuls and Jewish community centers?

Why Vote Republican

Let’s face it, either not voting or voting Democratic at this is detrimental to our causes, even if you hate Republicans and Trump.

While preparing this article, headlines and articles are filled with stories of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer attending the J Street Conference.

Tulsi Gabbard’s foreign policy is not good for Israel.  In August, she become a cosponsor of Ilhan Omar’s boycott Israel bill.  In 2018, AIPAC was good enough for Amy Klobuchar. However, in March, 2019, she joined the boycott by Democrats to attend.

I initiated the National Jewish Republican Voter Registration Drive that you can sign up for With Jews Choose Trump.  You can call any local republican club for any help you need, even a lift to a voting site.

It is no longer acceptable to accept the tried and failed, or just ignore November 5th and stay away from the voting places.  Take advantage of your early voting access, your freedom to vote and your pride in being a Jew and a Zionist.

Cindy Grosz is an Advisor for the National Diversity Coalition for Trump.  She created the National Jewish Voter Registration Drive. She is also the Long Island Chair for Jews Choose Trump. She has been acknowledged as the Jewish Patriot Award recipient from the Queens County GOP and has received multiple Aishes Chayil awards from Jewish Organizations.  She will be co-hosting during the new season of The Jersey Joe Show, WOR710AM in NY, Sunday nights at 7PM, or anytime on iHeartRadio.
