Results from the Labor Party primaries are coming in slowly but surely. With about 70% of the polling stations tallied, it emerges that Matan Vilnai is clearly first, followed by Avraham Burg, Dalia Itzik, Ephraim Sneh, and Yuli Tamir. Considering that four of the first ten places on the list are reserved, not much room is left for the others. Reserved spots include #1-3 for Amram Mitzna, Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, and Shimon Peres, while #7 is for Secretary-General Ophir Pines. Meimad's Rabbi Michael Melchior is guaranteed a spot between #10 and #15, and another spot is reserved for a woman. Yossi Beilin has apparently been relegated to an unrealistic spot on the list.

The Meretz party chooses its Knesset candidates today, and it will be Shas' turn tomorrow.
