In a replay of last year, Yasser Arafat - a not-so-devout Muslim - will not be allowed to take part in Christmas celebrations in Bethlehem later this month. Raanan Gissin, an aide to Prime Minister Sharon, said this morning, "Arafat will not move out of Ramallah." Arafat had previously said that he plans to spend Christmas in Bethlehem. The terrorist leader also warned that if Israel does not withdraw from areas transferred to PA control under the Oslo Agreements, the PA elections scheduled for January would have to be postponed. He said that Israel's presence, curfews, and encirclements would prevent the elections from being held.
